Focused Living

Importance of FOCUS. Every second our sun produces 380,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kilowatts per second (3.8 x1025). With all that incredible power being released we feel the heat but only get sunburned. Yet the weakest Laser at Metal Working Solutions where I serve as chaplain uses less than 15 Kilowatts to cut through a one-inch hardened steel plate. The secret is FOCUSED light! What a great reminder of how powerfully God can work through His men when they are focused on His Son! When He finds a man focused on His Son, He uses His power through that man to cut through the most secular of cultures, the hardest hearts, the most difficult circumstances and the evilest of government policies to accomplish His purposes for His glory. Prayer request for the Bowers: Pray that each of their grandchildren (all in HS or college) would passionately follow Christ as they make their faith their own. Also for the 7 men Perry is ministering to in the marketplace as a chaplain. Pray that they will come to Christ. Love to all, Perry.

Seeking Ministry Apprentice/Associate : The staff and board of FLM want to give thanks to God for pointing Cody Whittaker to our ministry. Cody is going to be a great fit due to his love for the Lord and His church, love for the men around him, and his passion for sharing the gospel. Welcome Cody!

FLM Forum Facilitators: Pray for the teaching team and their personal time in the Word. Pray that God's Word and principles that they are teaching through have already manifested in their own lives, and their teaching is from overflow purposed by the Spirit.

GRIP Discipleship: Pray that every man in this season of discipleship will continue to be transformed by the Spirit through their daily engagement with God's word, prayer and their connections with each other. Pray that their families will be positively impacted through his obedience to God's directing. Pray that a multiplication mindset will take root in each man's heart leading him to disciple at least one man, each year, for the rest of his life.
